“Exposure is not taught, it is experienced. Programs that teach principles of tolerance, diversity and inclusion have their place. However, for our nation to achieve a unified accord, we must engage in personal experiences that immerse us in a world outside of our own, one that is unfamiliar and challenges our current beliefs. The problems facing our world exist on a global scale; climate change, poverty, inequality and therefore the solutions must global.
